Lab Testing

Lab Testing

Lab testing is performed in-house for all non-hazardous waste materials as a courtesy for applications reviewed by our sales engineers. Depending on the particular application, specific lab tests are performed to better qualified the expected attributes of a separation and confirm feasibility. In general, these tests are set up to simulate the dynamics of what is occurring inside the centrifuge via theoretical and correlated methodologies under process conditions. Such dynamics would include the centrate quality, cake dryness, phase split of oil and water as a function of temperature and the impact of conditioning chemicals on equipment performance.

These tests can include any combinations of the following:

  • Settling tests
  • Gravity enhanced settling tests
  • Gravity enhanced dewatering tests
  • Compression permeability testing
  • Feed slurry characterization
  • Lab analysis of samples
  • Sludge conditioning optimization

Based on prior experience and lab testing, equipment can often be designed into a process with a high degree of confidence.
